No abandon in Miami, a first since Turkey 2021
The Miami Grand Prix saw no retirements during the race. A rare occurrence that has only happened 13 times in Formula 1 history, including 9 times since the hybrid era.
The Miami Grand Prix will have been rich in overtaking, interesting from a strategic standpoint, and it will have seen Max Verstappen’s victory ahead of Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso. But the Miami International Autodrome circuit will also have been historic for another reason. It is the thirteenth Grand Prix in Formula 1 history where all drivers have crossed the finish line, the ninth time in the hybrid era.
