McLaren unveils its special livery for the Monaco and Spanish Grand Prix
McLaren has unveiled a livery that it will use for the Monaco and Spain Grand Prix, as part of the celebrations for its 60th anniversary.
The special livery unveiled by McLaren pays tribute to the triple crown (Monaco GP, 24 Hours of Le Mans, and Indianapolis 500) of motorsport, notably with a return to the red and white paint scheme of the MP4/2, the car in which Alain Prost won the Monaco GP in 1984.
The livery also recalls the victories at the 1974 Indianapolis 500 with the McLaren M16C driven by Johnny Rutherford and at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans with the McLaren F1 GTR driven by the crew of Yannick Dalmas (French), Masanori Sekiya (Japanese), and JJ Lehto (Finnish).
A livery that is expected to stay for the Spanish Grand Prix.
“After achieving the greatest accomplishment in motorsport by completing the Triple Crown, we are proud to celebrate the rich history of McLaren Racing with a special livery at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix,” stated CEO Zak Brown.

Lando Norris, present on the podium in Monaco in 2021 with the special Gulf livery, is eagerly awaiting the race on Sunday.
McLaren has an impressive track record in Monte Carlo and, personally, standing on the podium during the 2021 race was a great honor. We will give it our all in a beautiful car to celebrate Bruce McLaren and the incredible legacy of the McLaren team.
