Alpine welcomes Amazon Music as a new partner
This Thursday, July 6th, the Renault group announced a new partner for its Formula 1 team Alpine. It is Amazon Music.
It is an almost historic partnership between Alpine and Amazon Music. It is the first time that a music streaming service is collaborating with a Formula 1 team. Starting from this weekend at Silverstone, Amazon Music will be present on the race cars as well as on the helmets of the drivers, Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly.
David Gentry, the director of sponsorship, partnerships, and communications at Alpine, has stated that he is happy about this new relationship. « We are thrilled to collaborate with Amazon Music and we are excited to work with such a powerful and inspiring global brand. We are very excited to begin this partnership and we welcome Amazon Music to the team starting this weekend at the British Grand Prix, the home race for the Enstone team », he said.
On the Amazon Music side, it is also an important partnership. According to the California-based company, sports and music play a key role in cultural influence. « We are therefore delighted to expand our footprint in sports and bring artists and fans closer to the drivers, sports, and music they love through this global collaboration », announced Karolina Joynathsing, the brand’s director of business development.
This partnership, which may seem ordinary, shows just how important it is to have support in Formula 1. And for Alpine, this falls within their growth plan to eventually become a leading and globally renowned team.
