Lando Norris voted Driver of the Day at the Dutch Grand Prix
The Briton pulled off a double coup. In the Netherlands, he won the race, regaining championship points from Max Verstappen. He was also voted Driver of the Day.
He delivered a solid race. Even though he once again missed his start, Lando Norris was untouchable this Sunday, August 25th at Zandvoort. The McLaren driver led a large part of the Grand Prix to achieve another success this season.
The man with the car with the number 4 had started from pole position, but was overtaken by Max Verstappen. The Briton quickly took back the lead at the end of the 17th lap, before creating a significant gap. At the end of the race, he was ahead of the Dutchman by more than 20 seconds. With the luxury, please, of setting the fastest lap in the final lap.
Pole position, victory, and fastest lap in the race. Lando Norris achieved a hat-trick on the lands of his championship rival. This is his first hat-trick in his Formula 1 career.
In addition to securing a second victory in the discipline and gaining eight points on Max Verstappen, the McLaren driver was voted driver of the day. This marks his eighth nomination for this honorary title this season, more than anyone else this year.
