Kévin Magnussen to start from the pits at Zandvoort
The Dane was sanctioned by the race stewards for having benefited from engine components that were not part of the quota set by the regulations.
He had managed to qualify for Q2. But this performance is already one to forget. The Dane was penalized by the race stewards shortly before the start of the Dutch Grand Prix. The Haas driver had new engine components installed on his car.
Except that these do not are part of the quota imposed by the FIA regulations. Moreover, they were installed under Park Ferme regulations. This constitutes therefore two offenses.
As a result, Kévin Magnussen will finally have to leave from the pit lane and not from the 13th place as planned (after the penalties of Lewis Hamilton and Alex Albon).
For the race, the Dane will use a third pack of batteries as well as a third electronic control unit. As a reminder, the regulations limit the number of such elements to two for an entire season.
