24 Hours of Le Mans: Ferrari on the attack from the start
The start of the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans went off without a hitch. Starting from pole position, Porsche #6 retained the lead, before losing its position to Ferrari. Follow our live coverage.
16:05: Ferrari is on the attack. After taking the lead by #50, the sister car regained third position at the expense of Sébastien Bourdais’ Cadillac. The LMP2 #47 from Cool Racing was hit by a mechanical issue and was running slowly.
The French Akkodis team’s Lexus #78 received a two-minute stop-and-go penalty for starting the 24 Hours race from the pit lane.
4 p.m.: Everyone was very calm. At the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, everyone stayed on the track. Some overtaking maneuvers were reported. In the long straight between Mulsanne and Indianapolis, the Ferrari #50 got the upper hand on the Porsche #6, which had started from pole position.
