The ACO has confirmed the WEC schedule for 2025
Eight rounds will be part of the World Endurance Championship. The same as this year. The 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place on June 14 and 15.
Some already had an idea. But it is now official. The calendar of the next season of the World Endurance Championship was unveiled this Friday morning. The Automobile Club de l’Ouest announced that it would consist of eight rounds.
The drivers will start at the end of February with the prologue in Qatar, as was the case this year. Then the second edition of the 1,812 kilometers of Qatar will take place on February 28th. The WEC will head to Imola on April 20 for a six-hour race. “This is a fantastic opportunity for the City of Imola. Thanks to this event, we will be able to improve the infrastructure such as the pits and the fanzone,” rejoices the mayor, Marco Panieri. Indeed, the circuit will have to carry out work to provide 40 pits, as the championship plans to expand the starting grid.
The championship will make a stop in Belgium for the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The most anticipated event of the year, the 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place on the weekend of June 14 & 15. The championship will then head to Brazil on July 13 at Interlagos, and will return in September to the United States, at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA).
Heading to Asia next to end the championship, first with the 6 Hours of Fuji on September 28. Finally, the 8 Hours of Bahrain, on the Sakhir circuit, will close the season on November 8.
