The best tweets from the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
A weekend full of twists and turns! On the agenda: Carlos Sainz's last-minute withdrawal, a quick detour to the F1 Academy with Doriane Pin, and Max Verstappen breaking another record... here is the selection of the best tweets from this second event of the season!
Honouring women this weekend! To start off this selection of top tweets, there’s nothing better than highlighting Doriane Pin’s excellent weekend in the F1 Academy… fastest time in practice, two pole positions, and a race victory! It could have been a perfect weekend if not for the penalty she received after the second race: she didn’t slow down after the checkered flag, unsure if there was still a lap left to cover. She was handed a 20-second penalty, pushing her back from first to ninth place… Nevertheless, she still received congratulations from none other than Lewis Hamilton!

… who is none other than Oliver Bearman! The British driver, who competes in F2 with PREMA, is the reserve driver for the Scuderia this year. Following Sainz’s withdrawal, he switched seats after the F2 tests on Friday to take his place in the F1 cockpit on Saturday! A successful weekend: eleventh place in qualifying, seventh place in the race earning his first points, and being voted as the driver of the day!

Ouch… this tweet hurts Pierre Gasly’s supporters and French fans in general. The Alpine driver was forced to retire before even completing the first lap of the race due to a gearbox issue. At the same time, Oliver Bearman scored his first points in F1… pushing Pierre Gasly back to 21st place in the driver standings.

A final detour away from F1, with the F2 races. And in terms of entertainment, the fans were not disappointed with this fantastic battle on the final lap of the main race! Dennis Hauger, winner of the sprint race on Friday, managed to do well to reach the last step of the podium. The main race was won by Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi.
