A historic Porsche 963 for Proton Compétition

What better way to revive memories? As the world endurance championship season is set to begin in a few weeks, teams are unveiling their liveries one by one. On this Friday, February 16, it was Proton Competition who revealed their 963 private livery.

The team that has been competing in the GT category has taken the leap to move up to the Hypercar category. And for its first season in the premier category, Proton is offering a modern version of a Porsche that is 30 years old.

Indeed, the German team covered their prototype with the F.A.T. livery from the sponsor of the same name. In 1994, Porsche had won Le Mans with the 962, which used the same colors.

In addition to revealing its livery, Proton Competition has confirmed its trio of drivers for the upcoming season. It will consist of Neel Jani, Harry Tincknell, and Julien Andlauer.
