Yvan Muller admitted to being completely relaxed before arriving in Macau. He is one of the 6 contenders for the 2007 title, even though he is currently tied at the top of the championship with Andy Priaulx, the 2006 titleholder.

« I have no pressure on my shoulders for now… » Commented the Frenchman. « I prepared for this race like all the others. »

The Seat driver has one of the most powerful cars of the moment, powered by a TDi diesel, yet he prefers not to make predictions: Our TDi engines will be more powerful on the straight line, but in the winding corners of Macau, we need to see our level compared to the competitors…

Like the other 5 title contenders, Muller will carry 60 kilos of ballast… a handicap: « There will be many cars lighter than us, and with our weight handicap, it will be a significant challenge. » He continued.

The Frenchman will also have to rely on his teammates to prevent BMW and Andy Priaulx from taking important points for the title. Tarquini will be one of the most incisive in this fight and will give 100% to help Muller.

« I am very optimistic about our chances of winning the title, especially thanks to Yvan [Muller], » stated the Italian.

« We showed in Monza that we can react as a team. It won’t be easy because BMW is always very strong in Macau, but I am very optimistic. » Concluded Tarquini.

The last two races of the 2007 championship will be under extreme tension and, of course, followed on our site.
