The A1 Team Czech Republic achieved its best result in the A1 Grand Prix series in China last week, securing 5th place in race 1.
Tomas Enge, who was driving for the team after a 10-month absence, is probably not unrelated to this and admitted in recent days that he is considering the idea of returning to A1 this season to replace Erik Janis once again… still too inexperienced in racing.
« Our results in Zhuhai were better than we hoped. » admits Enge. « Indeed, I had said that I would be very satisfied if we entered the top 10 in this race and it’s much better than that. The car was, it must be said, very good in this first race. »
« We had a very positive weekend, with two good races even if in the second one I had major brake problems that complicated my session. »
The 31-year-old driver allowed his country to achieve the best result of the season in three weekends with Erik Janis, despite still feeling pain from his serious endurance accident. Enough to make him want to come back…
« I don’t know yet if I will return. I need to think about it and I have until after Christmas and New Year’s… but at least there is a possibility… » Concluded the Czech.
