Mark Blundell, former Formula 1 driver, commented that he has placed all his hopes in Felipe Massa for this new season that is starting.
According to Blundell, the Brazilian, after two years with Ferrari, has completed his apprenticeship and will finally be able to go on the offensive in the drivers’ world championship.
The Briton stated this morning at the Autosport International Show in London: « I think Massa has the potential to give Lewis [Hamilton], Kimi [Räikkönen], and all the others a hard time and a big headache this year. »
« I think he has a real chance of winning a world title. He has accomplished his missions since joining Scuderia by learning a lot from Michael Schumacher and supporting Kimi Räikkönen for the title in 2007. Consequently, he logically saw his contract renewed… it’s a sign. »
« I think Ferrari will give him everything he needs to go for the championship this season and I think he could very well win it. »
