The A1 Team Germany won the second race of the New Zealand weekend. On the Taupo circuit, Germany finished ahead of Canada and France, which secured a second consecutive podium with Duval.

Christian Vietoris, starting in second position, quickly put pressure on Loic Duval, who started on pole. He managed to take the advantage during a very complicated overtaking maneuver where both drivers fought for a long time.

At the second pit stop, France, still in second place, lost its advantage over Canada and Robert Wickens for a glimpse of the final positions.

Neel Jani (Team Switzerland) has now lost all his lead in the championship by having another very poor performance this afternoon. Neel Jani indeed cut a corner to overtake Pakistan. He received a penalty from the track officials and, just like in the first race, scores no points.
