Good day for Glock, less good for Trulli

Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock were once again at the wheel of the Toyota under a radiant sun and in perfect weather conditions.

The two drivers focused on settings by performing various aerodynamic assessments, which are at the top of the team’s work list, along with suspension settings and mechanical adjustments. Both TF108 ran like clockwork, allowing Jarno and Timo to collect valuable data. They both covered the distance equivalent to a Grand Prix.

Jarno Trulli – 15th: « It was a difficult day for me as I covered many laps and had to spend the day collecting specific information that will be sent to the factory and should help improve the car. It wasn’t particularly well balanced, but that was our intention as we wanted to learn about certain aspects of its behavior. »

« I am happy because I completed all the work we had planned. I didn’t worry about the time all day – the main aspect was gathering all the data we needed. »

Timo Glock – 11th: « It went well and the car ran smoothly once again, which allowed us to complete a number of laps and have a productive day. We worked extensively on the settings and tested different parameters to see their impact on performance. We understand the car better after each test, and I am satisfied with how things are going. I think we are heading in the right direction and we know the areas we need to work on. » concluded the young German, 2007 GP2 champion.

Dieter Gass, Chief Race and Test Engineer: « The day went according to plan since Timo and Jarno completed their program without any problems. I must say that so far the new car is impressively reliable. »

« We focused on aerodynamics by testing different configurations and comparing the results. I would say we have made good progress. We have once again improved our understanding of the new car. We expect it to be the same tomorrow, with a similar program. »
