Alfa Romeo reprimanded before the start of the weekend
The Swiss team was given a warning after Valtteri Bottas arrived late for the scheduled press conferences on Thursday.
It’s not a big deal. But when the rules are not respected, a sanction is usually applied. And for this Grand Prix of the Netherlands, Valtteri Bottas and Alfa Romeo paid the price.
Thursday is traditionally reserved for press conferences with drivers and team principals. But one of the drivers was late. It was Valtteri Bottas.
The team representatives explained that they had exchanged the schedules of their two drivers and had not informed Bottas about the location early enough, explained the FIA commissioners.
Following this offense, the Finnish team received a reprimand.
Another person was absent for this media day. Lance Stroll was excused as he was suffering from an infection, but he later arrived at the circuit in the afternoon.
