Glock doubts the performance level of Toyota…

Timo Glock is uncertain about the position Toyota might hold before the start of the season. However, the German remains hopeful that his team will be able to compete alongside teams such as Renault or Williams.

Toyota wants to bounce back after a disappointing 2007 season, and although the Cologne-based team did not shine during winter testing, Jarno Trulli has full confidence in them and believes they will be in a strong position.

His teammate Glock, however, felt it was difficult to assess the condition of Toyota to date.

« I think we are among a group of teams that may include Williams, Renault, and Red Bull. But, anyway, it’s hard to say if they are still ahead of us, » he stated during the Barcelona testing.

« I would say that in absolute terms, it is possible. You cannot get a clear idea of the state of things through trials. We might find ourselves in that group, or we might be slightly behind. »

He added: « We have a lot to do at the moment. But after the Barcelona test next week, we will have a little more time to look into this issue, especially since we will be a few days away from the Australian Grand Prix. »
