Ferrari and McLaren are ahead! Trulli makes the heavy observation

Jarno Trulli thinks it will be very difficult for most drivers other than those from Ferrari and McLaren to get on the podium this season.

The two teams are clearly ahead of their competitors and put on a show during the winter tests.

Trulli believes that Ferrari and McLaren will have reliable cars from the first Grand Prix, so it will be difficult for Toyota but also for all the other teams to prevail.

Let’s be clear, if both Ferrari and both McLaren finish a race, it will be extremely difficult for another team to get on the podium, and not just for Toyota, Trulli said on the official Formula 1 website.

« There is still a gap between our cars and those of the very big teams. I think, nevertheless, that we will be competitive and we can hope to finish each race scoring points. »

The Italian is convinced that Toyota will take a step forward in this year 2008, boosted by the performance of its TF108.

« We did a lot of laps with the TF108 and realized that it was very reliable. This allowed us to collect a lot of information, » he added.

I worked a lot on the car setup with the aim of improving, and we made good progress, but as always there is still work to do.

The TF108 is completely different from last year’s car, it is much better in terms of stability.

« We still have a lot of work to do, but the TF108 has some potential. We know the areas we need to focus on, and we are all very motivated, » concluded Jarno Trulli.
