Oliver Jarvis will make his DTM debut in 2008 and will be one of the new Audi drivers. Last year, the 24-year-old Briton won the Japanese Formula 3 championship and represents the United Kingdom in the A1 Grand Prix category.

One of the highlights of his young career remains for the moment his victory in the 2007 edition of the prestigious Macau Grand Prix in Formula 3.

« Moving from Formula 3 to DTM is a very good career progression, » revealed Jarvis on his personal website.

« DTM cars are similar to Formula 3 single-seaters, the handling is almost identical. »

Jarvis is the fourth Briton to compete in DTM for the four-ring brand, following in the footsteps of James Thompson (2000), Allan McNish (2005), and Adam Carroll (2007).

Despite being a novice in this highly competitive series, he remains very confident: « For each race, I will try to win. But it will be a big challenge. Therefore, I would be happy if I get on the podiums, if I regularly finish in the points, and of course if I help Audi retain its DTM constructors’ title, » said Jarvis.
