McLaren plans to contact the British Home Office as the team is concerned about how the Italian police are presenting the latest findings in the investigation of the 2007 F1 espionage case.
The Woking team released a statement yesterday refuting the Italian police’s claims about evidence showing the responsibility of certain members of the British team in this scandal.
She had described the statement by the Modena police as grossly inaccurate and misleading.
A McLaren spokesperson revealed that the team intended to contact the UK Home Office and inform them of their concerns about how the Italian police are handling the case.
« With this type of advertisement, which was apparently generated by the Modena police, maybe some people can now understand our caution in engaging in such a process with them, » said the spokesperson.
« In fact, we intend to contact the ‘Home Office’ to express our concerns regarding the conduct of this investigation. »
