The British government will have to explain how it intends to help the British automotive industry safeguard itself against the threats facing the country regarding the potential disappearance of F1. It will do so before the House of Lords!
With an uncertain future regarding the British Grand Prix, the government doesn’t even dare to imagine the repercussions of the event’s disappearance for the automotive industry. Hence, it is under pressure to support the various parties.
The government will have to officially declare its intentions during a debate that has been requested by the Minister of Defense, Mr. Shadow, and the president of the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA), Lord Astor of Hever.
The main question that will need to be answered is: « What are the government’s plans to support the British automotive industry to maintain its global leadership? »
