Liam Lawson receives a 10-second penalty at Zandvoort
Daniel Ricciardo's replacement has already received a penalty for his first F1 Grand Prix. In the pits, he obstructed Kevin Magnussen.
This is not an ideal first Grand Prix. After the first lap, the rain started to fall and the final sector of the Zandvoort circuit was completely wet. Many drivers decided to switch to intermediate tires.
In the midst of complete confusion, Liam Lawson, who is participating in his first race, hindered Kévin Magnussen in the pit lane. After an investigation, the FIA has decided to impose a 10-second penalty on the New Zealander.
At the 10th lap of the race, the AlphaTauri driver was in 12th position, ahead of the Mercedes drivers. He will have to serve his penalty during his next pit stop.
