Aguri Suzuki, team principal of the Japanese team also revealed his 2008 driver lineup even though there hasn’t been much suspense for this announcement for the past few days.
In fact, the names of Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson were displayed above their respective garages in Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix.
Takuma Sato, for his third season with the team, stated: “I am confident for 2008 and happy to be in a position to maintain the momentum gained over the last two years. A third season with Super-Aguri is thus only a logical continuation.”
« Our winter preparation was not as thorough as we would have liked, but we have always managed to overcome difficulties. I hope we can maintain our level of performance and try to make up for lost time. »
« I am delighted with this season. The new regulations such as the ban on traction control will make the races more exciting. I personally trained all winter and have done the best preparation possible. We hope to be on the same level as other teams, in Melbourne and throughout the rest of the year. »
Davidson commented: « I really look forward to my second season with Super-Aguri and building on what we achieved last year. Even though we haven’t done much testing, we are continuing to make improvements to the car. »
« I also focused on my physical preparation. I am very motivated to take on the challenges that this year will bring. Everyone on the team has worked hard and I would like to thank them as well as Honda for their daily support. »
