The Japanese company, sponsor of Ferrari until the end of last year, is a long-standing partner in the world of Formula 1. The company supported the Lotus team, Walter Wolf Racing in the 1970s, and McLaren in the 1980s.
As part of its agreement with McLaren, Olympus will employ British photographer Jon Nicholson to closely follow the team and maximize its visibility.
Ron Dennis, the team principal commented: « We are delighted to welcome this renowned company as one of our partners. We hope that this cooperation with Olympus will be long and beneficial for both parties. »
« It’s always a wonderful thing for Vodafone McLaren Mercedes to announce that a new partner is joining us, and to be able to do so just a few days before the start of the season in Australia is even more significant. »
