Timo Glock is, once again, penalized with a five-place grid drop at the Australian Grand Prix for preventing a competitor from passing him while the German was under yellow flag conditions. Four other drivers received less severe reprimands for infractions under the yellow flag.
The Toyota driver did an impressive job to place his TF108 in ninth position, but he had already been penalized earlier in the day and dropped to 14th place following a gearbox change that his team had to carry out.
Glock was penalized for preventing Marc Webber from overtaking him in the qualifying session. He will start from the 19th position on the grid.
Glock was not the only one called before the race stewards. Jarno Trulli, Nico Rosberg, Giancarlo Fisichella, and Jenson Button were all asked to explain why their best lap was set under a yellow flag, but they all fared much better than the young German rookie.
