Adrian Sutil started from the pits during the Australian Grand Prix. The Force India driver encountered problems in qualifying after going off the track and exploring the gravel.
The Force India VJM01 was heavily damaged, and the team was forced to change the floor and the chassis of the German driver.
He had qualified 17th and as the regulations stipulate, he must start from the pits. This mistake particularly benefits Sebastien Bourdais, who posted the 18th fastest time.
Adrian Sutil has also lost his Engine Joker, as the new regulations state, a driver has a Joker during an engine change in the year, with which he can avoid any penalty.
By changing the chassis, the engine was also replaced, and Sutil no longer has a joker this season.
