The team closes, more than ever, the march, rejoicing today in the victory over Sutil’s Force India and can only thank Nakajima for his accident in Melbourne which resulted in a penalty. The two Super Aguri drivers thus take the opportunity to gain a position…
Takuma Sato – 19th and 19th (qualified 20th):
I think the team did, once again, a great job, given the circumstances. We showed good speed in the morning with a qualifying simulation, I was happy with the car’s balance.
During my first fast lap in qualifying, the result did not live up to my expectations and I encountered traffic. However, on the last fast lap, I gave it my all and enjoyed my lap. I will try to have a good race tomorrow.
Anthony Davidson – 21st and 21st (qualified 22nd):
« Another challenging qualifying session for us today. I think we have slightly improved since the last race. My second fast lap this afternoon was good, but I struggled to find the right balance on the car for the final stint. »
Graham Taylor – Sporting Director:
« All credit goes to the pilots, engineers, and mechanics after a particularly difficult Friday. We’ve come back into the fight, had a good session this morning, and found a better balance on the single-seater car.
« We were a little worried about the weather forecast predicting rain during the qualifying session since no driver has experience on wet surfaces since the regulatory change regarding electronic aids. Takuma’s small victory over one of the Force India cars gives us hope for tomorrow. »
