Rosberg: « Williams is still the fourth-best team »

Nico Rosberg gave an initial assessment of the 2008 season after two races and according to him, it is rather positive despite his disastrous Malaysian Grand Prix last weekend.

With a podium finish as the basis during the opening race at Albert Park in Australia, Rosberg and Williams, his team, found that the FW30 did not have sufficient grip on the Sepang circuit.

His teammate Kazuki Nakajima and himself struggled throughout the weekend, which was in stark contrast to their good form on the opposite side of the world.

But despite the accumulated disappointment in Malaysia, Rosberg stated that he had good reasons to feel happy with the start of the year.

« I am happy. A podium is a podium. Ok, Heikki Kovalainen was a bit unlucky with the safety car, but it wasn’t a gift for us either.

« This result is excellent, the team took the opportunity to recharge its batteries in terms of confidence. I think the weekend in Malaysia, which was quite disappointing, was just a setback caused by the asphalt. We will come back stronger in Bahrain. I think we are still the fourth best team, » commented the young German.
