Rosberg and Nakajima hope to bounce back in Bahrain!

Nico Rosberg is confident that his team will not have to endure a second time, in Bahrain, the nightmare experienced during the Malaysian Grand Prix.

After finishing on the podium for the opening race in Australia, Rosberg and his teammate Kazuki Nakajima struggled to find pace at Sepang. Their car was unable to find enough grip on the track, which had a new asphalt.

However, with a track surface in Bahrain more suited to the Williams, Rosberg believes that his team can score points at Sakhir.

“I’m really looking forward to this weekend. Bahrain is one of my favorite circuits, and I’ve achieved excellent results there,” said the German.

« Last year, we didn’t manage to get the best out of this weekend, but we learned and we will be better this year. »

The track and especially the asphalt of the Sakhir circuit are suited to our single-seater, we should not encounter the same problems as in Malaysia. Overall, it has been a start to the season that presented two extremes.

« We had a very good start and what followed was more obscure. What happened to us in Sepang can happen to any team, we have to move forward. We have already learned a lot from these last two races and we will make further progress in the future, » he added.

Nakajima is equally optimistic about Williams, who will be in good shape in Bahrain.

We learned lessons from the last two Grand Prix and I will do my best to help the team shine again.

« Personally, I think the Bahrain track is really nice. It’s an excellent circuit for an F1 race because there are overtaking opportunities, » concluded the Japanese driver.
