Mosley apologizes to the world!

Max Mosley apologized to FIA members for any inconvenience caused by recent revelations about his private life. He confirmed that he remains fully committed to his role as president of the organization.

In a letter sent Tuesday to all presidents of the national clubs of the FIA, all members of the FIA Senate, the World Motor Sport Council, and the World Council for Mobility and Automobile, Mosley refutes everything that has been said about his sexual behavior and claims a plot aimed at discrediting him.

He also reveals that he intends to take legal action against the ‘News of the World’, the newspaper behind this article.

« It is prohibited in most countries to publish details of a person’s private life without a good reason. The publications of ‘The News of the World’ are completely unjustified. I intend to take legal action against this newspaper and other jurisdictions, » Mosley wrote in his letter.

Even though several calls have been made for his resignation following this scandal, he claims that he has received the support of a number of people who stand by him in this ordeal.

« I have received a very large number of messages of sympathy and support from those within the FIA and who belong to the world of motorsport. They suggest that my private life has nothing to do with my work and that I should continue the task I have been entrusted with. I am grateful for all this support and fully intend to follow this advice. »

« I will now devote some time to those who are responsible for this matter, but I especially need time to repair the damage done to my family who are innocent victims. »

« However, you can be certain that I will not neglect my work within the FIA by focusing solely on this matter.

This letter constitutes Mosley’s first public statement since the scandal broke on Sunday.

Although Mosley planned to attend the Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend, it is becoming increasingly likely that he will ultimately decide not to participate.
