The European Grand Prix in Valencia seems to be a promised success since nearly all the tickets were sold on the day the ticket offices opened.
The organizers stated that only 8,000 tickets are still available after just nine hours of the sales locations being open.
The new urban circuit of Valencia can accommodate 112,771 spectators.
Jorge Martinez Aspar, one of the organizers of the event, said he was very satisfied and a little surprised by this enthusiasm on the first day of ticket sales.
Aspar added that he expected all the tickets to be sold by the end of next week.
Nearly 40% of the tickets were purchased by people not living in Spain.
Valencia will host its first Formula One Grand Prix, which will take place on August 24.
