Mosley accepts the Jordanian invitation in WRC

FIA President Max Mosley has accepted an invitation from Jordan to be the guest of honor at the next round of the WRC World Championship, as the Asian country is featured for the first time in the official calendar of the discipline. The event will take place between April 24 and 27.

This will be Mosley’s first public appearance at an automotive event since the disturbing revelations about his sex life were published in a British tabloid more than three weeks ago.

A spokesperson for the FIA stated that Mosley had accepted the invitation from Prince Feisal Al Hussein of Jordan. The prince is the brother of King Abdullah, who is also the president of the Jordanian National Olympic Committee.

« Max is a great friend of Jordan; he has supported us since we began our quest to become a WRC championship round three years ago. We are therefore delighted that he is by our side to share this historic moment with us, » confessed Prince Feisal Al Hussein in a statement.

The acceptance of this invitation by the FIA president is in complete contrast to her absence in Bahrain at the beginning of the month in F1.
