Lewis Hamilton appeared very motivated today in an interview given to British television at the Circuit de Catalunya. He believes he has learned from his mistakes and would give 110% for the upcoming European Grand Prix races.
The young Briton, 2008 vice world champion, made a few mistakes during the last GP weekend in Bahrain. The McLaren driver notably collided twice with Fernando Alonso and, after finishing outside the top 10, lost the lead in the driver’s championship.
According to him, his mistakes have taught him a lesson, and he admits to feeling ready and more motivated than ever for the next event of the season, in Spain, in Barcelona.
« We learn from every race, » he confirms. « Even if you arrive first, you will have gained experience… and as for me, I arrive in Europe confident. We have made good progress and we are ready. »
Hamilton confident in the new version of the MP4/23: Well, we have corrected some flaws and I think with these tests, we have taken another step forward in terms of performance.
Some used grooved tires, others slicks, during these tests. We can therefore be sure of nothing, but we have always been good here and I am logically optimistic.
« We are closer to our factories in Europe. We will therefore be more productive. For me, the season really starts here, » exclaimed the Englishman a few months ago.
