Gascoyne: « Sutil also has talent! »

Mike Gascoyne from Force India has stated that he considers his driver Adrian Sutil as a key member of his team.

The boss of the team based in Silverstone wanted to clarify things as he recently stated that Giancarlo Fisichella completely deserves his race seat. This caused a stir regarding the second driver, as some observers pointed out that Gascoyne’s comments could be disparaging towards Sutil.

« We obviously worked with Adrian last year and we know his talent. It’s a good opportunity for him to have Giancarlo by his side, » explained the Briton to the Indian news agency PTI.

« Adrian has demonstrated that he has the necessary talent to be in Formula 1 at the highest level. He makes fewer and fewer mistakes as he gains experience. »

It is true that Sutil has had little luck at the start of the season and was therefore behind Fisichella.

« In Bahrain, however, he was much closer to Giancarlo and was driving alongside him, » concluded Gascoyne.
