The team led by Giancarlo Fisichella in GP2, FMS International, announced today the appointment of Roldan Rodriguez to compete in the Series, or European, version of the ascending discipline of motorsports.
Roldan Rodriguez was not the favorite to replace Mickael Herck. The latter had fractured his wrist in Dubai a few weeks ago and will miss the first two rounds of the GP2 Series. Rodriguez had replaced Herck in Bahrain, notably for the last of the GP2 ASIA.
Originally, it was Andy Soucek who was supposed to replace him, but it is ultimately the Spaniard who will race for a home weekend in Barcelona. He will therefore be the teammate of Adrian Valles.
The 23-year-old driver was racing with Piquet Sport last year. He will therefore normally replace Herck for the entire season.
The team also unveiled its 2008 colors today. Almost identical to 2007.
