The Honda Racing driver swam 400 meters, cycled 27 kilometers, and ran 8 kilometers on foot, thus taking part in a triathlon.
Button finished 16th out of the 250 athletes who started, only nine minutes behind the winner.
Button, who plans to take part in the Royal Windsor Nokia Triathlon in June, said: « I love participating in triathlons, probably because I have complete control over my race and the outcome. »
In Formula 1, it’s very different because you depend on a large team, but in triathlon, you are the master of your own destiny.
