Summary – Friday – Williams is hungry!

The Williams drivers performed well today. Accustomed to the Barcelona circuit, the team did not rely solely on their experience. They also put it into practice with more than 117 laps completed this Friday.

Williams showed themselves kindly in the middle of the pack during the free practice 1 on the Spanish track, then bared their teeth during free practice 2, ranking in 4th and 7th positions, ahead of the BMWs and other McLarens.

Nico Rosberg – 12th and 7th

This morning, we attempted a rather original setup, but it didn’t work at all. So, this afternoon we returned to something traditional. It worked much better, but we can always do better. We’re notably lacking balance.

« Conditions have been very changeable, especially since last week and the private tests, and I never had a good feeling. So, we will have to approach the free practice and qualifications differently tomorrow… »

Kazuki Nakajima: 15th and 4th

The day was good for us today. We tried many different setups between the two sessions and I think I found a very good one for tomorrow’s qualifications. We still have a lot of work to do this evening.

Sam Michael – Technical Director:

« Unlike this morning where we struggled a bit, this afternoon was a good session for the team. »

Rosberg wasn’t happy with his car this morning. With the whole team, we worked hard to provide him with a good setup in the afternoon, and it seemed to work much better. That’s good, we are on the right track for tomorrow’s qualifications.
