Who can challenge Ferrari? With such a schedule

Ferrari said they are not sure if they will use their new aerodynamic invention, their nose hole, in all the races of the season.

The team introduced this concept during testing in Barcelona early in the month and then in the race at the Spanish Grand Prix, and it was successful as the Scuderia achieved a double victory.

Even if this design proves effective, team principal Stefano Domenicali has stated that the team might revert to the previous version for very fast tracks.

« We still have tests to carry out. On this type of circuit, the balance of the car comes into play, and it is essential that everything is in harmony with the package. But I can’t yet say if we will use it all over the world, » stated Domenicali.

« In theory, medium-speed circuits like that of Catalonia are the ones where we can really use it, whereas for the very fast ones, it remains to be seen… »

The technical director, Aldo Costa, admitted that he was satisfied with the F2008’s performances in Spain. He added that he will implement new parts for the Turkish Grand Prix next week.

« There are reasons to be satisfied with the car’s performance throughout the weekend. The events showed that everything was working well. In our programs, we plan to introduce new things race after race, » commented Costa for the Gazzetta dello Sport.

« There will be new aerodynamic parts in Turkey, they will be visible, just like this hole. We will not fill it in for some time. »
