Super-Aguri will have to wait until next week to find out if it can continue its adventure in F1. Indeed, no decision about its future was made following a meeting between team boss Aguri Suzuki and senior Honda executives.
The small team based in Leafield has been fighting for its survival since a takeover project with the Magma group failed shortly after the Bahrain Grand Prix.
However, a last-minute agreement may be possible with the German company Weigl Group. This new investor is crucial to continue in this sport.
It is understood that a final decision on the course of action can only be considered after a meeting of Honda’s board of directors early next week.
The question is on hold due to a period of four public holidays in Japan in the coming days, known as Golden Week.
Super-Aguri will therefore have to wait until the last moment to prepare for the Turkish Grand Prix, as usual…
