McLaren’s team principal, Ron Dennis, released a statement denying any involvement on his part, his team, or any other organization working for him in the scandal surrounding FIA President Max Mosley.
The ‘Times’ reported that Dennis asked the secretary-general of the Czech automotive association for clarification on certain remarks he may have made in a radio interview that seem to link the FIA president, the scandal, and McLaren.
As for Mosley, while maintaining there was nothing wrong with him standing in the presence of five prostitutes, he complains that he is the victim of a conspiracy by a group of specialists. He even employed a private detective to track down all those who were behind his public humiliation.
Dennis therefore denied any involvement even though his team was also linked to a scandal in 2007…
« As I have always said, whenever I was invited to comment on this subject, I categorically deny that I have anything to do with this scandal involving Mr. Mosley. For the McLaren Group or the McLaren Mercedes team, it is the same, » asserted Dennis in the columns of the ‘Times’.
« No more than any entity or any other party acting on my behalf or any person related to the McLaren Group or the McLaren Mercedes team. »
