The boss of the Super-Aguri team, Aguri Suzuki said he was exhausted after weeks of work trying to secure the future of his team in Formula 1.
Suzuki acknowledges that this experience makes him hesitant about a possible return to Formula 1 in the near future.
« I am exhausted, I need to take a break, » said Suzuki with a smile at a press conference in Tokyo.
« We simply ran out of time to set up an offer with Weigl, » he continued.
« Financially, it is simply impossible to pursue anything in F1 because enormous budgets are necessary. »
With Super Aguri’s exit, only 10 teams remain in the race, and this is the first time since 2005.
« The drivers were fantastic, » said Suzuki, his voice trembling with emotion.
« When we started this adventure, the cars hardly moved in a straight line, but Takuma never complained. The drivers always had a positive attitude. »
