Mark Webber aims for big points tomorrow at the Turkish Grand Prix as he once again delivered a strong performance during Saturday’s qualifying.
The Australian managed to overcome his Friday accident to qualify in 6th position, matching his best performance of the season.
« This 6th place today is welcome after leading the team down yesterday, » said the Red Bull driver.
« The only drawback of this result is that we are on the left side of the grid, but apart from that, everything is going well. »
« We are off to a good start to earn points tomorrow. A good strategy will need to confirm these words. »
« It will be an interesting race, the team did an excellent job today to place both its cars in Q3, » concluded Webber.
David Coulthard is also part of the top ten for the second time this year. The Scotsman was unable to do better than a 10th place.
« I am happy to deliver good performances after struggling in the last two Grand Prix, » he commented.
« We examined all the tire options to achieve this result with two sets of tires in Q1 and two sets in Q2. »
« We only did one run in Q3 because we wanted to save fuel, so the car was very heavy. »
