Mosley’s legal action in France begins…

FIA President Max Mosley has initiated legal action in France against the tabloid that published details about his private life.

The French lawyer, Philippe Ouakrat, told the daily L’équipe that it was important for the action to be brought before a judicial court rather than a civil one. It was filed with the Paris prosecutor’s office for two reasons: for invasion of privacy and also for defamation due to his alleged involvement in a Nazi-themed orgy.

« The possibility of a criminal action in addition to a civil action is extremely important, » he stated.

« The newspaper published his statements with an extremely violent and targeted attack strategy. It is a characteristic desire to cause harm. The intention was clear: Destroy Max Mosley and his presidency at the head of the FIA, whose headquarters are located in Paris. »

This legal process in France means that a judge will be appointed in the coming days to begin the proceedings.
