GP – Mixed results for Ferrari

The performance of the Italian team in the Canadian circuit qualifications is quite mixed. Ferrari drivers failed to achieve good times. They complain about turn number 10 of the Montreal circuit, where the asphalt is reportedly degrading over the laps.

Kimi Räikkönen can still hope for a victory, he will start in third position on the starting grid.

« It’s quite incredible to see the time I lost in turn number 10! The track was already starting to degrade during the first phase of qualifying. It was like driving on ice, and I really couldn’t find the right line to set good times. It’s a shame because the car was very competitive, and we could have secured pole position. » declared the disappointed Finnish driver.

Felipe Massa also suffered a lot because of turn number 10. He only recorded the sixth-fastest qualifying time, far behind the times of the front row of the qualifying grid.
