Renault and Fernando Alonso gave an exceptional demonstration today at the Technocentre in Guyancourt for the site’s ten-year anniversary. A large-scale technological and real estate project, the Renault Technocentre, celebrating its 10th anniversary today, was designed to position Renault at the highest level in automotive design. It provides its 11,500 residents with cutting-edge tools to successfully carry out their projects in a modern and environmentally friendly setting. In total, more than 20 vehicles have been designed there since its creation.
After several weeks of preparation aimed at offering Renault employees and their families an extraordinary show, Renault and Fernando Alonso were ready today to make their vehicle roar within the site grounds.
To date, it is the most significant internal event a company has ever organized for its staff and collaborators, and it was in front of nearly 60,000 people that Fernando made his single-seater, emblazoned with the diamond, roar. An exceptional show in an atmosphere that was above all friendly and warm, as those were the keywords of the day!
If the Renault drivers had already visited the Guyancourt site to meet the staff, it was the first time that the R27 performed a demonstration there, much to the delight of the Renault employees who came in large numbers this weekend!
Renault took the opportunity to celebrate its champion and inaugurated a commemorative plaque with Fernando Alonso’s handprints and signature.
« It was important for us to be there today! I hope the audience enjoyed seeing and hearing the car, and I’m happy to have been able to participate in such an event. Roadshows are always a great opportunity to meet the public, and I had a good time being there today! », concluded Fernando Alonso, at the end of his demonstration.
Renault now focuses on preparing for the next Roadshow, which will take place this time in South Africa, in Johannesburg, on July 27.
