While the 2008 championship has only been underway for seven races, rumors for 2009 are starting to emerge.
The latest gossip claims that Nico Rosberg, a German driver for Williams who was courted by McLaren at the end of last year, is now the focus of attention for BMW Sauber.
The current BMW driver, the young leader of the world championship, Robert Kubica, would approve the idea according to the newspaper La Stampa, to change status with his teammate Nick Heidfeld at the end of the season.
« For me, it won’t change anything. My teammate is just one of the 19 drivers I have to beat, » declared the Polish driver.
« As far as contracts are concerned, it’s not my job and I leave it to others. »
Latest rumor has it that Kubica is being courted by Ferrari.
