A new association is born!

Formula 1 teams have agreed to set up a new association that will work with the FIA and FOM (Formula One Management) to propose a new Concorde Agreement.

Representatives from all teams, as well as the Formula 1 chief, Bernie Ecclestone, and other high-ranking officials like Donald McKenzie, met today at Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello to discuss the future of the sport.

Through a statement, Ferrari announced that the meeting was extremely constructive.

The Italian team also revealed that all F1 teams have decided to create a new association. This body will work on finalizing the commercial conditions and the rules of the new Concorde Agreement.

« All the Formula 1 teams met today in Maranello and held a very constructive meeting, in the presence of Bernie Ecclestone and Donald McKenzie, » said Ferrari.

« The teams subsequently unanimously adopted the creation of a new association in Formula 1 that will work with the FIA and FOM on regulations and commercial conditions. This is aimed at defining new rules to strengthen and energize the sport. »
