European GP – Force India has a card to play

Like the other teams, Force India will discover a new track on which no driver has yet raced. The two drivers of the Indian team, Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil, must therefore take advantage of it.

Many incidents are likely to occur during this race, such as the deployment of a safety car, which in a matter of seconds can change the situation. It’s up to the drivers to take advantage of these kinds of events…

Giancarlo Fisichella – Race Car Driver

« I am eager to get back to my single-seater after this short break. I enjoyed time with my family and I am ready to tackle the last races of the season, which include my favorite circuits, especially Monza. »

« My goals are to achieve good reliability, finish all the races, and score points if the opportunity arises. Valencia is a new circuit unknown to all the drivers. It seems very fast for a city track. »

« The single-seater will have the new seamless gearbox that should gain us a few tenths per lap. We have achieved some good performances, particularly on Honda. »

Adrian Sutil – Racing Driver:

« The Grand Prix of Valencia and Singapore are urban events, and in the past, we have put on good races on this type of circuit. These two circuits should therefore work in our favor with chances of achieving a good result. »

Mike Gascoyne – Technical Director:

The fact that this is a new circuit poses a different challenge for the team but is interesting for the engineers as well as the drivers.

« In terms of preparation, we conducted simulations on our computers. We therefore have a fairly accurate idea of the nature of the circuit. However, there are certain things you cannot understand with computers, such as the nature of the asphalt, how the tires will react, and whether you can use the curbs or not. Therefore, there are many areas of uncertainty that will need to be clarified. »
