The officials of the European Grand Prix have decided that no disciplinary action will be taken against Timo Glock following his involvement in a qualifying incident with Nick Heidfeld.
Glock forced Heidfeld to use the runoff areas in Q2, which caused quite a scare for the BMW-Sauber driver. He was, of course, furious and requested that the German be penalized for the incident.
However, following an investigation conducted by the race direction, it was decided that Glock had done nothing to warrant any sanction.
According to a statement published this Saturday: « After hearing the explanations of the two drivers involved, the stewards decided that the incident did not require any action. »
« I can’t believe it, I was blocked by Timo and of course I thought back to Budapest because it was exactly the same thing, » explained the German, who in Hungary had lodged a complaint against Sébastien Bourdais who had been penalized.
