4th place in the bag according to Trulli!

After his more than encouraging result at the European Grand Prix, Jarno Trulli is optimistic that Toyota will remain firmly attached to its fourth place in the constructors’ standings.

Trulli finished in fifth position in Valencia and his teammate Timo Glock in 7th place. In total, these are six more points added to the Japanese team’s credit.

This result, combined with the underperformance of Renault and Red Bull, propels Toyota in the standings with a ten-point lead over its closest pursuer, which is the French team currently in 5th place.

Six races before the end of the season, the Italian admitted he was confident that his team would maintain its momentum and stay where it was.

« I am optimistic because the team works very hard. Our most recent results show how strong we are. It’s nice to drive a competitive car every weekend, » commented Trulli.

« Toyota is doing a very good job this year and is seeking competitiveness on each circuit. »

« We are undertaking further developments. Therefore, I am confident that we can maintain this state of form in the upcoming races. »

« I will do two days of testing in Monza where grip is very low. After that, we go to Spa, which is my favorite circuit. It’s always nice to head to this track, » concluded the former Renault driver.
