Hamilton lets experience do the talking…

Lewis Hamilton says he is ready to score as many points as possible per race rather than taking risks by chasing victory. The aim is simply to ensure him a stronger position in the championship.

The Briton finished in second place at the European Grand Prix in Valencia. He was not able to beat the Ferrari of his closest rival at the time, Brazilian Felipe Massa.

Hamilton managed his race by settling comfortably in second place, an approach that earned him praise from his team.

And even though he admits that the goal is to win every race, he stated that sometimes it is essential to score points.

« I want to win as many races as possible but I have learned that sometimes it is more advantageous to score as many points as possible rather than taking reckless risks, » stated the McLaren driver on his website.

« My goal is always to win the world championship and this won’t happen if I end up in a wall after trying to overtake another driver.

« In Valencia, we scored a number of very useful points, and I am still at the top of the standings, even if Massa scored two more points than me. »

« I am mentally strong enough to handle this situation. I am therefore more relaxed about it, » he continued.

We must remember that Hamilton lost the title last year by just one point to Kimi Räikkönen.
